THE PLEASURE OF FEELING AT HOME

La Torre del Bennicelli was created to realize an idea, immersed in the green countryside, the estate once belonged to the count Adriano Bennicelli, an ancestor of the Berti family, the current owner of the estate. During the centuries, the structure went through various changes from being an ancient monastery in 1600, to being a farm estate run by the farmers for the Berti family. In the '70s the estate was abandoned and the restared in the '80s, respecting its authenticity and highlighting all its particular features. Our holyday home provides its guests a relaxing stay, thanks to the peaceful and quiet environment in close contact with nature.

The B&B Il Gallinaccio has taken shape and life in more recent times, with the restructuring of the manor house, to which it is adjacent. It is a structure furnished in a rustic and welcoming style, very close to our way of experiencing everyday life; also for the B&B, our peculiarity in to welcome our guests making them feel at home.

WHO WAS COUNT ADRIANO BENNICELLI

Nicknamed "The Count Tacchia" and lived between 1860 and 1925, Adriano Bennicelli was a very popular figure of Umbertine Rome. Always dressed with elegance, he wandered around the city in one of his carriages, taking to slaps and swearwords all those who barred his way, especially the coachmen, his favorite targets. He was in this sense the prince of the joke, with quarrels and complaints that helped to promote him as a symbol of an era, making him fit into the stories and legends of Rome. all the fights and charges contributed to make him the symbol of an era, and a legend in the history of Rome. Sergio Corbucci's film Il Conte Tacchia released from 1982, interpreted by Enrico Montesano, is freely inspired by his life.
